West End scheme could offer work to tradespersons with approved electrical qualification
Tradespersons who have got approved electrical qualifications could find that their services are in demand to assist three construction projects planned for London’s West End.
It was revealed today (January 19th) by Land Securities that it has agreed contracts with three building companies for developments worth a total of £655 million.
According to the property firm, Sir Robert McAlpine is set to deliver Selbourne House, which will include 11 floors of office space and a ground-floor retail area and will stand on Victoria Street.
In addition, Mace will build Oxford Street’s Park House and the residential, office and retail space that it will consist of, while Wellington House, located in the middle of Victoria, will be constructed by Wates.
Colette O’Shea, director of development for Land Securities London Portfolio, commented: “This significant investment will create new jobs and also deliver shareholder value.”
It could be that workers with approved qualifications will be needed to fill some of these vacancies.
Land Securities was founded in 1944.
