If you are working your first job what is a good amount of work experience to get a better job?

If you are working your first job and you want a better job what is a good amount of time to keep that job before putting in job applications somewhere else.I think 6 months or so shows your serious at least about working.

    One year or more. Most employers look for someone that stays in a job for a year or more.
